*random things to make you smile*

Ok, so there is total *random-ness* in this list, but I've found lots of fun things to share with you this week. So, in no particular order, random things to make you smile... 

I so totally want a pink aluminum Christmas tree! My husband may kill me :/

I just downloaded the new Norah Jones album. *love* It will make perfect background music for crafting! I also loved the photograph on the cover of the album, which led me to discover Autumn de Wilde's photography (she's also done a lot of stuff for Elliott Smith, Beck, The Raconteurs, etc.) Check out her site, especially the abstract section (she has great photos of a *wig shop* :)

Sometimes, I think we all get so intimidated by the work of others that it can become paralyzing! There was a great note on this subject on decor8's Talk It Out this week (brought to my attention by one of my fave tweeters!) Then, Wil Wheaton (whom I *love*) put up an entry on his blog that was really great about not putting things off and just *doing* something–anything! He posted this image with his blog and linked to the story behind the image... A great cause to get behind as well as a great creed.

I discovered this blog (a combined effort of a food stylist/photographer couple) through my little buddy, Ev, and I totally think I'm going to make this yummy French Toast this weekend! 

Speaking of Ev, he made these super cute 'hoot owl cookies' a couple of weeks ago and brought me one! Find the recipe here. 

Over on Smile & Wave, while Rachel is busy with little Ruby, there have been a bunch of guest bloggers! I *loved* this wreath how-to from yesterday's blogger Mandi.

The other day, I came across these adorable Viking characters! Such a funny idea that I'm totally in love with! Visit the Sandra Monat's shop here.

I *heart* all the people in this movie (Meryl Streep *goddess*, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, the guy from the Office), and I can't wait until it comes out. Also, this epic film is coming out on blue-ray on Dec. 8th! I'll be there at 9am :)
