*in the zone*

The other day, we had a group of Husband's graduated seniors over for a cookout. One of them asked what I would call myself. She said, "So are you a painter? A designer? What do you do?" 

...?

Finally, I told her, "Well, I guess I'm a designer. I try to just go with the flow... whatever I find inspiring at the moment, I make and hopefully it ends up speaking to someone else... at some point." Sometimes, I feel like sewing, so I sew. Sometimes, I feel like painting so I paint. Sometimes, I feel like sitting back and just doing the day to day routine to see what will happen next. Something always happens next.

So right now, I'm feeling *uber* inspired, which is awesome. It's a relief because I hardly ever get any work done between January and March and this year was no different. But right now, I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I dream about working at night. Not the stressful, I have to get things done dreams, but the soothing, "Let's not sleep too long because something great is going to happen tomorrow" kind.

Last night, while Husband was out with friends, I started going through piles of magazines and cutting out things that inspired me. Here's a little peek...

Also, my Borders finds...

& this Fall I'm hoping to talk my mother into going here with me! I think I may make it a 2011 goal to have my own little booth. Has anyone been before?
