This weekend was utterly terrible, and I am super happy to report that it is a new week! So I apologize for my absence, but I prefer cheerful posts like this one rather than sharing all of my dreary-ness! While Husband and I holed up this weekend, he indulged me by watching movies like this one (one of my *all*time* favorites!). While I heart
Kristin Chenowith and Matthew Broderick, nothing will ever compare to
the 1962 version of the film, which I really should just break down and purchase rather than always playing the netflix game. I, of course, can't say enough about the costumes...
...in case you were wondering that is a purple gingham suit with crushed velvet detailing!

The typography and detail in the background of scenes like this are really beautiful as well...

& the mirroring of the hats, with the gossip, with the chicks really may be my favorite!
